We are "The Troop Group". We are a composite of representatives from American Legion Auxiliary Hammond-Schmit Unit 55 in Hortonville, WI; Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Troop Support Ministry Team from Greenville, WI; and Appleton Military Support Group in Appleton, WI. Our mission is to insure as many service members as possible in harm's way have as much support as we can provide them as often as they need it to the best of our ability.

It's Almost Cookie Time!

Grandma Mary is again baking her wonderful Christmas cookies to sell at the Saint Mary's Holiday Craft Fair at Little Wolf High School in Manawa, WI December 4, 2011. Last year, her wonderful cookies helped us raise over $1,500. This year we are hoping to do as well with Grandma's cookies and the exciting additions of Aunt Ellen's wonderful homemade breads and a great new way to give cookes as gifts.

Hand Warmers Needed

We are looking for hand warmers to send to our troops. Winter in Afghanistan is brutally cold and many of our troops are spending all day or all night out in the cold with no external sources of heat. We are trying to help over 2,500 service personnel at this time. Can you help us help them keep their hands warm?

A Loss to Military Personnel Everywhere 

John C. Judy
(November 24, 1928 - September 29, 2011)

John C. Judy, age 82, died on Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Neenah. He was born on November 24, 1928, in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, the son of the late Clinton and Edna(Henry)Judy. John served his country in the US Army during the Korean War with the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team.  He was a member of Wolf River American Legion Post 391 and was a past Post Commander; Weyauwega VFW Post 10407; and was President of the Wisconsin 101st Airborne (Rakkasan)Veterans Organization at the time of his death. John was a passionate supporter or our troops. His care and compassion will be missed.
