This site is dedicated to the brave men and women protecting and defending our country and the people who support them.
We are "The Troop Group". We are a composite of representatives from American Legion Auxiliary Hammond-Schmit Unit 55 in Hortonville, WI; Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Troop Support Ministry Team from Greenville, WI; and Appleton Military Support Group in Appleton, WI. Our mission is to insure as many service members as possible in harm's way have as much support as we can provide them as often as they need it to the best of our ability.

Christmas is right around the corner.
For ideas on how to help this year, please see our Christmas 2007 page. It will be up-dated and changed slightly as time permits in the next few weeks. The first boxes of Christmas cards will be mailed approximately October 15th.
Special Projects:
School Supply Season is Right Around the Corner.
We are looking for:
- Black or blue stick pens
- #2 Pencils
- Small pencil sharpeners
- Pink or green erasers
- Blunt tipped children's scissors
- Plastic metric rullers (wood splinters too quickly)
- 16 or 24 Crayola crayons
- 70 or 80 Count spiral notebooks
We have a group of 101st soldiers who would like to help citizens in small villages in Afghanistan by taking them school supplies, fabric, and sewing supplies. Our troops take them ot the small villages to help the people who are desperately poor and prevent the items being sold on the black market. If you have cotton or mostly cotton fabric in 3 yard or more pieces you have no use for, please consider helping us help both our troops and the poor people in Afghanistan.
Church Services:
We send 20 - 25 church services on CD every week to service personnel in remote areas of the world often not served regularly by a chaplain. Donations of non-rewriteable CD's and the thin plastic CD cases are always welcome.
